The seminar will be led by Prof. Mgr. Stanislav Pekár, Ph.D. from Masaryk University, an expert on statistical methods and R programming in biological research.

The aim of this seminar is to introduce the most common statistical methods used to analyse experimental data.

Some topics that will be covered in this seminar are:

  • Generalised linear models (GLM)
  • Mixed-effect models (LME)
  • Generalised additive models (GAM)
  • Cox proportional hazard models (CPH) and more.

The methods will be introduced via specific examples from agroecology.
