A seminar organised by the MENDELU Library for English-speaking students as an introduction to referencing and understanding plagiarism.
Content: What is plagiarism and how to avoid it. Introduction to referencing; in-text citations and bibliographic citations, direct quotations and paraphrases. Information on citation styles and citation methods. The basic logic of creating bibliographic citations – the main elements of a citation. Examples of how to cite the main types of sources. General information on reference managers.
The seminar can only be attended in person in the seminar room of Library A (building A, ground floor, room BA01P1047 in MojeMENDELU app).
