About us

Mendel University Press is an academic publishing and printing house focused on scientific publications and textbooks for higher education. We can offer authors the whole process of book creation, from typesetting, printing, and bookbinding to online publishing. We publish over 80  books per year and we are also responsible for 8 university journals.

Our goal is to publish scholarly, scientific, and popular science literature for the academic and general professional public, and original and translated university textbooks that meet the current needs of teachers and students. As a non-profit University Press, we are trying to make most of your production freely available to a broad audience in an Open Access regime (on our webpage for online publications). 

An important part of our publishing house is also a printing office, we are equipped with two professional color printers. We also offer book cover machine lamination and both V1 (sewn through the fold) and V2 (adhesive binding) soft-cover binding.

Mendel University Press is a member of the Association of Czech Booksellers and Publishers and regularly participates in book fairs, professional conferences, and seminars.
