Mendel University in Brno 

The ITIC (International Teacher Identity Card) is the only internationally recognized proof of the teaching profession. The card is issued by the world organization ISIC Association under the auspices of UNESCO.

The ITIC card may be issued to university academics who have an indefinite or fixed-term employment relationship for at least 12 months from the date of application for the ITIC card.

The ITIC card is issued by The Human Resources Management Office in MENDELU upon starting work at the university.

Validity of ITIC card

The validity of the ITIC card is limited in time, from 1 September of a given year to 31 December of the following year. The validity of this card can be extended annually by purchasing a revalidation stamp, which you can buy from your Personnel Officer.

ALIVE EMPLOYEE CARD is an identification card that is intended for all non-teaching staff of the university. The card is valid throughout the Czech Republic and you can get discounts on it at more than 1,600 places. Any employee who is not entitled to an ITIC card can apply for an ALIVE EMPLOYEE CARD. Any employee who is not entitled to an ITIC card can apply for an ALIVE EMPLOYEE CARD.

To obtain it, it is necessary to contact your Personnel Officer and fill the Application for ALIVE EMPLOYEE card form.

Advantages of ALIVE Employee card

In addition to the university, the card holders have the opportunity to use:

• discounts throughout the Czech Republic,

• discounts at more than 1,600 points of sale in the Czech Republic,

• exclusive ISIC travel insurance for the price starting at CZK 300,

• shopping, dining, and training,

• admission to festivals, events, clubs,

• season tickets in ski resorts,

• traveling - bus and train tickets,

• accommodation in hotels, camps, and hostels.

Validity of ITIC card

The ITIC is valid for a maximum of 16 months, from September 1st of one year to the end of December of the following year. This validity remains constant regardless of the date of issuance. The validity of this card can be extended annually by purchasing a revalidation stamp, which you can buy from your Personnel Officer.

Card issued to all MENDELU employees who are not entitled or do not want an ITIC / ALIVE card (standardly non-members of the academic community and persons with a workload of less than 1.0).

The Employee card is issued by The Human Resources Management Office in MENDELU upon starting work at the university.

The employee gets the following options:

• use the catering system - ordering and serving meals,

• use the library system (offers a free service for borrowing books, scripts, magazines),

• enter (according to their rights) the university rooms,

• enter the arboretum.

Pass issued to employees of the Mendelu Student Hostels and Canteens Administration.
