The main principle is unlimited online access to scientific information by publishing in Open Access journals (Gold Open Access) when authors pay fee to publishers or access is ensured by the auto-archiving of articles in open repositories (Green Open Access).

Two main approaches to Open Access
Gold way - publishing in open access journals - open access to publications is enabled by publishers who enable publishing in open access. Use the University Fund to support your Open Access publishing or use discounts from publishers.
Green way - auto-archiving of the full text of a scientific article (preprint, postprint, publisher's version) in the open repository - open access to publications is provided by the authors themselves. You can archive your Open Access publications in the MENDELU repository.
